About MikroTik Academy Program

MikroTik is a Latvian company founded in 1996 that develops routers and wireless ISP systems. Today, it provides a variety of hardware and software for internet connectivity in most countries around the world. MikroTik RouterOS is the software system that provides extensive stability, flexibility, and control for all kinds of routing and data interfaces. RouterBOARD is the hardware developed after RouterOS for MikroTik's own brand of devices. The company is headquartered in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, and employs over 280 people.

The MikroTik Academy Program is designed for educational institutions such as universities and technical schools to offer semester-based Internet networking courses using MikroTik RouterOS as a learning tool. This program at your institution aims to encourage students to learn and acquire certified skills in computer networking. The training program consists of theory and hands-on practice using MikroTik RouterBOARD and RouterOS in a real computer network environment.

Introduction to MikroTik

  1. DHCP
  2. Bridge
  3. Routing
  4. Wireless
  5. Firewall
  6. Quality of Service (QoS)
  7. Tunnels
  8. Miscellaneous (Tools and Monitoring) — including RouterOS tools such as Netwatch, Ping, Traceroute, Torch, Graphs, SNMP, and The Dude.

MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA)

The MTCNA is the entry-level certification in the MikroTik certification track and is included in this training program.

Learning Outcomes (based on the official MTCNA syllabus):
By the end of this training, students will:

  1. Be familiar with MikroTik RouterOS software and RouterBOARD products.
  2. Be able to connect clients to the Internet.
  3. Be able to configure, manage, and perform basic troubleshooting of MikroTik routers.
  4. Understand how to provide basic network services to clients.

Program Details:

  1. Target Audience: Academic students who are learning the fundamentals of computer networking and Internet technologies.
  2. Prerequisites: Good understanding of TCP/IP and subnetting.
  3. Certification Validity: 3 years (renewable).

Our Academy provides both the training and the organization of the international certification exam. Upon successfully passing the exam, the student will receive the MikroTik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) certificate, which is recognized worldwide.
